The Tribe Known as Quest was an influential rap group of the 1990s, originally formed in Queens, New York City in 1988. A class action is comprised of Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, and DJ Ali Shaheed Muhammad. a quaternary member, Jarobi, was using a class action for the number 1 album, however parted ways sustaining the class action when.
Q-Tip & Phife experienced grown higher together inside Queens, & met Muhammad around high school. A class action's title was coined by The Jungle Brothers, whose members attended the equivalent school. Presently when, the class actiin began performing survive & recording on a local label.
At a period of their origin, A Tribe Known as Quest was highly unique in the hip-hop community for eschewing gangsta rap and macho posturing. Their lyrics focused in abstract & social issues like a word "nigger", date rape and consumerism. Musically, a class action helped pioneer a jazz-rap style (along with groups like Gang Starr and De La Soul). It manufactured their studio debut around 1990 with ''People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm. Though this album was critically acclaimed & lead to the heavy fan ensuing, their next album, The Low End Theory (1991) was a massive artistic profits, appearing in many better of the season lists. These are considered one of a first hip-hop albums up to now. A Sale Prevent Theory was followed by Midnight Marauders (1993), Beats, Rhymes and Life (1996) and The Love Movement (1998).
As a result their final album, a class action disbanded. Q-Tip, Muhammad, & Phife Dawg went in to pursue solo careers by having Muhammad founding a R&B group Lucy Pearl.
